The Financial Controller reports to the chairman and is responsible for directing the fiscal functions in accordance with general accounting principles and management techniques. Duties and Responsibilities – Review of financial policies and internal controls and ensure adherence to safeguard the companys interests.
- Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, forecasts and financial trends in order to assist senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
- Monitoring performance of departments against their budgets and ensure appropriate controls and procedures are in place across the organization. – Identify and develop financial risk management strategies to safeguard the interests of the organization,
- Monitoring the bank dealings, facilities and funds and meeting company’s financial obligations.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization. – To evaluate the finance department structure and implement team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities.
- Continual improvement of the budgeting process. A financial manager is responsible for providing financial advice and support to clients and colleagues to enable them to make sound business decisions. Specific settings vary enormously and include both public and private sector organizations
Financial considerations are at the root of all major business decisions. Clear budgetary planning is essential for future planning, both short and long term, and companies need to know the financial implications of any decision before proceeding. In addition, care must be taken to ensure that financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulations. Financial managers may also be known as financial analysts or business analysts
To be considered for this role you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance and a professional accounting qualification i.e. ACCA, CA, CMA, CPA. You will have outstanding leadership skills coupled with high energy, integrity and passion. You are an inspiring leader with enthusiasm, focus and drive. Will have a collaborative management style with a strong sense of humor You will posses outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. You have strong cultural awareness and business sensitivity will be essential. Firm view on matters but “velvet gloves” in approach with ability of modifying approach based on who you are communicating with. You will come from one of the following industries:
• Transportation
• Logistics/distribution
• Automotive
• Manufacturing, Retail
• Engineering – Audit background
- 5+ years in a senior finance position
- Arabic(desired but not essential)
- Excellent command of the English Language both written and spoken.

- Assuming responsibility for small components of engagements and contributing to a strong client relationship through interactions with client personnel.
- Ability to develop and motivate all audit staff and provide them with counseling and career guidance.
- Recognize and communicate opportunities to sell “add-on” work to client and contribute to a positive team attitude.
- International accounting qualification is required: CA, ACCA, or CPA.
- Fluent in English & Arabic (Reading, Speaking and Writing) is a MUST.

Our client, a leading International Construction company with headquarters in Kuwait and offices in countries across the Middle East and North Africa has the following positions open.

Position:
As a key member of the Executive Management team he/she should assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing.

Responsibilities:
• Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
• Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
• Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
• Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
• Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
• Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
• Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company
• Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
