أكد باحثون أميركيون أن الثوم يحمي القلب من الأمراض شرط تناوله طازجا بعد هرسه، لأن فوائده الصحية بالنسبة إلى القلب حينها تكون أكبر.
وعارض الباحثون في كلية الطب في جامعة كونيكتيكت في فارمينغتون الاعتقاد السائد بأن فوائد الثوم ناجمة عن غناه بمجموعة
